Congress facing existential crisis for questioning Lord Ram’s existence, says UP CM Yogi Adityanath | Lucknow News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that the Congress is facing an existential crisis as its stance of questioning the existence of Lord Ram boomeranged.
Addressing election rallies in Koppal, Raichur and Kalaburagi districts of poll-bound Karnataka, Yogi said that he looked forward to welcoming people from Karnataka at the inauguration of Ram Temple scheduled next year 2024.
Yogi accused the Congress and JDS governments of pursuing the politics of appeasement.
“They threw Karnataka into the fire of riots, but today is an era of empowerment, not appeasement,” he said, adding that the people of Karnataka have rejected the failed engine of the Congress and trusted the double engine government of the BJP.
Yogi accuses Congress of glorifying ‘terrorists’
Yogi said that after defeating Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP would now defeat his son, Priyank Kharge, in the Karnataka assembly polls. He said that the recent remarks of Mallikarjun Kharge president against PM Narendra Modi exposed the “frustration” of the Congress which seemed to have already conceded defeat. Kharge was recently at the centre of a controversy for allegedly calling PM Modi a “poisonous snake.” In 2019, Mallikarjun lost to BJP’s Umesh Jadhav in Gulbarga parliamentary seat.
Yogi said that now Priyank would have his deposit forfeited while losing out to BJP’s Manikanth Rathod in Chittapur assembly seat. Priyank, who is seeking a third consecutive term from the assembly seat, has been highlighting the developmental works carried out by him. He had recently flayed Rathod, accusing the saffron party of “insulting” the people of Chittapur by fielding a “history sheeter.” Yogi said that the banned outfit, Popular Front of India (PFI) would never be able to raise its head in Karnataka. “Organisations working against the interest of the country by stoking people’s sentiments should be banned,” he said. His observation on PFI came a day after home minister Amit Shah accused the Congress of carrying PFI “on its head.”
Shah had even questioned the Congress as to why the PFI should not be banned. Yogi also invoked Dalit icon BR Ambedkar underlining how the Narendra Modi government developed places associated with him. Addressing a rally in Aland, Adityanath said that India got enslaved because of “mutual disunity.” He said after the country attained independence in 1947, people brought Congress to power with great desire. “But, Congress tread the same path which was followed by the foreign rulers while bringing the country to the brink of division,” he said. Squarely accusing the Congress of “glorifying the terrorists,” Yogi said that the Congress took democracy into hostage. “But, people are the real masters of democracy. People will be with those who protect public interest and respect,” he said, seeking another term for BJP in Karnataka.
