Honda Shine launched at a lower price in these states: Gets additional four-year warranty – Times of India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMS) recently launched the Shine 100 at a price of Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). Now, the company has launched its 100cc commuter motorcycle in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar at a price of Rs 62,900 (ex-showroom). Moreover, HMSI is also offering a longer warranty period in these regions. Initially, the company was offering a 6-year warranty (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) with the Shine 100 but in the states mentioned above, it is offering a 10-year warranty (3 years standard + 7 years optional extended warranty) instead.

The 2023 Honda Shine 100 is available in five colour options, including Black with Red Stripes, Black with Blue Stripes, Black with Green Stripes, Black with Gold Stripes and Black with Grey Stripes. It gets a seat height of 786 mm, a ground clearance of 168 mm and a long wheelbase of 1245 mm.
At its heart, the Honda Shine 100 is powered by a 100 cc OBD2-compliant PGM-FI engine that produces a peak power of 7.4 hp and 8.05 Nm torque. It is paired with a four-speed gearbox.

In terms of features, the 2023 Honda Shine gets a side stand with an engine inhibitor thatprevents engine start while the side stand is engaged. Other key features include Combi-Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer, all-black alloy wheels, sleeker-looking muffler and an aluminum grab rail.
In the entry-level commuter motorcycle segment, the Honda Shine 2023 has been launched at a competitive price and rivals the likes of the Hero Splendor+, Bajaj Platina 100 and the Hero HF Deluxe in the Indian market.
