Karnataka CM Suspense LIVE UPDATES: As Congress’ tussle for the next Chief Minister still not over, both contenders DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah on Tuesday held separate meetings with party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and pitched their respective cases. Meanwhile, the party also held hectic consultations to decide on who would lead the government in the southern state. Former party chief Rahul Gandhi also drove to Kharge’s residence and held an over 90-minute meeting. According to sources, DK Shivakumar is adamant on being the CM or else he will remain only an MLA while Siddaramaiah has conveyed it to Kharge that he has the support of most of the MLAs and given his seniority, he should be considered for the top post in the state.
