Netflix announced that Lindsay Lohan has been cast in their upcoming rom-com titled Irish Wish. The film is part of a two-picture deal that the studio entered with the actor earlier this year. The film is about a bridesmaid, played by Lohan, who goes to Ireland to attend a wedding between her best friend and the love of her life. Her wish comes true as she wakes up the next day as the bride, she quickly realises that this is not the reality that she wants and sets out on a quest to right the wrongs.
Along with Irish Wish, Lindsay Lohan will also star in another Netflix rom-com titled Falling for Christmas. Both the films are directed by Janeen Damian, who is also the co-writer for Irish Wish. Falling for Christmas is scheduled to release in November after which the team will start working on Irish Wish.
Lindsay Lohan started her career as a child artist in the 1990s, going on to cement her career as a leading lady in the early 2000s. She starred in hit films like Mean Girls and Parent Trap before going through a torrential period filled with drug abuse and controversies. She stayed away from the limelight in the 2010s and is now making a comeback.
