PM Modi to Distribute 71,000 Appointment Letters as a Part of Rozgar Mela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over approximately 71,000 appointment letters to newly admitted personnel in 45 places across the country on May 16 at 10:30 AM via video conferencing. The Prime Minister will distribute letters as part of the Rozgar Mela project, which the government initiated in October of last year. This would also mark the day when the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won the 2014 general elections.

The Rozgar Mela will be hosted in 45 different cities across the country. Recruitments are being conducted across Central Government Departments, as well as State Governments and UTs that are assisting with this programme.

It is stated that these fresh hires, who were chosen from all over the nation, will work in many different roles according to the government of India, including Gramin Dak Sevaks, Inspector of Posts, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Junior clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Clerk, Track Maintainer, Assistant Section Officer, Lower Division Clerk, Sub Divisional Officer, Tax Assistants, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Inspectors, Nursing Officers, Assistant Security Officers, Fireman, Assistant Accounts officer, Assistant Audit officer, Divisional Accountant, Auditor, Constable, Head Constable, Assistant Commandant, Principal, Trained Graduate Teacher, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Professor, among others.

Under the jurisdiction of N. F. Railway the ‘Rozgar Mela’ will be held in three different locations- Guwahati in Assam, Siliguri in North Bengal, and Dimapur in Nagaland. As a part of this programme, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal will hand over the appointment letters to the newly selected youths at Railway Rang Bhavan Cultural Hall, Guwahati.

Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State in the Ministries of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Labour and Employment, would distribute the appointment letters at the Imliyanger Memorial Centre in Dimapur.

Nisith Pramanik, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India, will be the Chief Guest of the Siliguri function and will distribute appointment letters at the Railway Officers Club in New Jalpaiguri.

In this project, appointment letters would be distributed to 207 candidates in Guwahati, 217 individuals in Dimapur, and 225 candidates in Siliguri from various government departments.

The Rozgar Mela is an advancement in achieving the Prime Minister’s vow to give top emphasis to job creation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to serve as a catalyst for additional job creation and to create important possibilities for young people’s participation and engagement in the advancement of the nation.

The newly appointed appointees will also have the choice to teach themselves through ‘Karmayogi Prarambh,’ an online orientation course for all new government officials.
PM Modi organised the ‘Rozgar Mela’ to hire 10 lakh people and increase job possibilities for youth. PM Modi handed out 71,000 appointment letters to newly enlisted personnel during the second Rojgar Mela in November 2022. During the first Rozgar Mela, he distributed over 75,000 appointment letters.
